Friday, 31 December 2021

 Hi All,

We are pleased to present the EEAC introduction to astrophotography day. If you've wanted to take images of the night sky but don't know where to start or have taken some images but don't know how to process them then this may be for you.

The day will be held at the village hall in Burnham on Saturday 19th February from 10am to 3pm, with a chance to practice in the evening if clear.

Please email us for more information.

 Hi All,

The schedule for 2022 is now on the events page.

Saturday, 24 July 2021

And off we go...

 Hi there,

What a year. Since having to cancel the introduction to astronomy course in March 2020 we've not been able to meet.

However now that there's a good vaccine programme and restrictions being lifted we're going to get things going again.

We will be holding the Introduction to Astronomy course on Saturday 4th September at the Burnham Village Hall from 10am. eMail for details and booking form eastessexastronomyclub@gmail.com.

On Saturday 2nd and 9th October and Saturday 13th November  we will be supporting the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome with an observing event. We will have various telescopes for viewing the night sky. These are not our events and need to be booked via the Stow website (the events are, as of writing, not on their site so keep visiting).

Saturday 16th October, Saturday 20th November and 11th December will be usual club meetings at the Burnham village hall, talk topics to to be arranged. Talks start at 7:15pm with doors open at 6:45pm. All welcome, under 16s to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Non-members £3 adult and £1 child, members £2 adult children free.
